Beach

A beach is a geological landform along the shoreline of an ocean, sea, or lake. It usually consists of loose particles which are often composed of rock, such as sand, gravel, shingle, pebbles, waves or cobblestones. The particles of which the beach is composed can sometimes instead have biological origins, such as shell fragments or coralline algae fragments. Wild beaches are beaches which do not have lifeguards or trappings of modernity nearby, such as resorts and hotels. They are sometimes called undeclared, undeveloped or undiscovered beaches. Wild beaches can be valued for their untouched beauty and preserved nature. They are most commonly found in less developed areas such as Puerto Rico, Thailand or Indonesia. Beaches often occur along coastal areas where wave or current action deposits and reworks sediments. From Wikipedia under the

Harry Potter fans: Check Out Marauders Newsflash From Google Video Search: "beach" How does the amount of people visiting a beach, affect the ph of said beach? Q. Im starting an experiment where I have to prove, how the amount of people visiting a beach, affects its ph level. I already know the beach's ph level is mildly alkanline, with a ph range of 7.6 to 8.4. I want to find out if, a heavily populated beach would be either more acidic or more basic, in comparison to a less populated beach and why? Asked by Curious - Fri Oct 1 12:29:45 2010 - Earth Sciences & Geology - 1 Answers - Comments A. Well, you would have to consider an area not affected by the tide water coming in, which would change your results. In an area unaffected by the tide, human contact would be in two forms, I believe: As sebum and sweat mix up on the skin surface, they form a protective layer often referred to as the acid mantle . Acid mantle has a particular level of acidity characterized by p H from about 4 to 5.5. The average p H level of urine is slightly acidic (6.0). I personally think that the human contact would not produce a significant change. Answered by Ted H - Mon Oct 4 23:58:55 2010 What do different Europeans wear in beach cities?
Q. I am wondering what the trends are in different European cities. What do young men and women wear on the beach, while walking around beach-front shops and restaurants, on the boardwalk (if they have those?) and around town in European beach cities? Thanks.
