Q. My husband and I are taking our 4 little kids (1-7 years old) camping at the Grand Canyon next month in June. I'm just wondering what campground we should stay at? Kaibab Lake Campground - It's near the juncture of 1-17 & Hwy 64 at Williams going north to the Canyon. It's about 60 miles from the Park gate but the setting is beautiful and you've got a lake. Campsites have all you need. 2. Mather Campground - Just inside the Park gates. Call in advance as it can book quick. Great value. Has bathrooms, running water. It's also near the in-Park supermarket. Bike paths aplenty. Easy access to shuttle buses. That'll get you started.
